Marc T. Adams, M.D. has been the Director of Radiation Oncology at Regional Radiology since 1991. He earned board certification in radiation oncology from the American Board of Radiology in 1990. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). He has extensive experience in external beam radiotherapy of malignant disease including stereotactic radiation therapy, prostate seed implantation and IMRT. He has additional training in the use of superficial microwave hypothermia and interstitial/intracavitary brachytherapy, CT and fluoroscopic treatment simulation.

After graduating from Stanford University in Stanford, CA with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences, Dr. Adams earned his medical doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL. He was awarded several honors during this time, including the American Cancer Society summer preceptorship in Radiation Oncology from the Wallace Tumor Institute in Birmingham, AL and the Deans Letter of Commendation from the National Board of Medical Examiners. His post-graduate training included an internship and residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.

Dr. Adams is an assistant professor of radiology at New York Medical College and is on the medical staff at St Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York in the Staten Island Region - St. Vincent's Hospital/Bayley Seton.

 


 

Hoon Lee, M.D. trained in radiation oncology at the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, considered one of the top cancer hospitals in the country. He obtained his medical doctorate from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in molecular and cell biology with honors from the University of California at Berkeley.

Dr. Lee has broad research experience in radiation oncology, with over 25 publications and presentations. His academic and clinical excellence has earned him numerous awards including the Roentgen Resident/ Fellow Research Award from the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the Gilbert H. Fletcher Award, the Thomas Barkley Award, and the Jay and Lori Eisenberg Endowed Fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He has been invited to give presentations at international and national conferences such as the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), American Radium Society (ARS), American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Prostate Cancer Symposium and the RSNA.

Dr. Lee is on the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria panel on radiation oncology lung work group.   He is an assistant professor of radiology at New York Medical College and is on the medical staff at Richmond University Medical Center.

Dr. Lee is board-certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Lee studied violin from the age of four and declined a full music scholarship in order to pursue his career in medicine. He also enjoys playing competitive tennis and golf.
